YMO eyewear has been conceiving the idea of introducing new materials and new processes into eyewear manufacturing since 2015. The main development direction is sunglasses and optical glasses. The research mainly includes degradable materials frames, marine recycled material frames, and bio-based material frames. Consider whether the materials of eyeglasses frames can be applied to plant fibers, bamboo and wood fibers, coconut shells, coffee grounds, etc. in addition to carbon fiber or bamboo. This sunglasses frame is made of marine recycled plastic (discarded plastic bottles and fishing nets floating in the ocean) through re-injection molding. It took 6 years to develop degradable sun lenses working together with lens manufacturers. Based on the eyewear manufacturing industry and adhering to the concept of contributing to the protection of the marine environment, this pair of marine recycled plastic sunglasses was produced.
